All puppies purchased come with a health guarantee. Within 10 days of purchasing your new puppy, you must take him/her to a licensed veterinarian for an examination. If the veterinarian determines, within 10 days of purchase, that your dog is clinically ill or has died from an injury sustained or illness likely to have been contracted on or before the date of sale and delivery, you have the following options:
Breeder Health Guarantee
We guarantee that there are no symptoms of disease or parasites at the time of sale and that our Puppies are completely healthy. This means that our Puppies are free of viral infections, pathogenic bacterial infections, fungal infections, and congenital defects.
All Puppies come with a 72-hour limited health guarantee. If not we will replace the Puppies or give a full refund on the purchase price, if proven not to be healthy at the time of sale. Once a Puppies leaves our home, circumstances and conditions are beyond our control, therefore we cannot guarantee the Puppies beyond this 72-hour period. If you’re avian veterinarian performs a health examination within the allotted time period (72 hours) and discovers a problem too costly to cure, or a problem that cannot be cured, we will replace the Puppies with one of the same kind or value, or buy the Puppies back For that you must relinquish the Puppies back to me with a letter from the vet explaining the nature of the illness. This letter must be on the vet’s official letter pad with vet rubber stamp seal. The Puppies will be replaced or a refund of the full purchase price will be made.
In the event that the Puppies dies within 72-hours of purchase, you must immediately refrigerate (not freeze) the Puppies body in a sealed plastic bag and deliver the death Puppies within 12 hours to a qualified avian vet for necropsy to determine the cause of death. If a viral disease or congenital hatch defect is determined to be the cause of death, the Puppies will be replaced or a refund of the full purchase price will be made. This letter must also be on the vet’s official letter pad with vet rubber stamp seal. Before getting refund the death Puppies photos and video want to be shown to us including the identification band.
It is understood that Seller will in no way be responsible for any veterinarian medical bills, including charges for a necropsy, or refund of any shipping charges if the Puppies was originally shipped to you. Buyer also understands that if the leg band is removed from the Puppies, the Health Guarantee is null and void. The veterinarian must reference band number with the reason why the band removed, when explaining any disease or cause of death.
The health of the Puppies is guaranteed for 3 days through examination by an AVIAN CERTIFIED veterinarian at the discretion and expense of the buyer. If the Puppies is found to be of unsatisfactory health and written documentation from a licensed, AVIAN CERTIFIED veterinarian is presented, the buyer will immediately deliver the Puppies to the breeder and receive a full refund of the purchase price of the Puppies. This documentation must include band number and species. The breeder will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by the buyer during this time or for costs to return the Puppies to the breeder.
In the unlikely event of death within twelve (12) days of the buyer taking possession, the bird must be wrapped in paper towels, placed in a plastic bag, and refrigerated, (not frozen), until a necropsy can be performed, by a qualified, licensed Avian Veterinarian within seventy-two hours after death. All reports must be sent to our veterinarian, and include band number and species. If necropsy proves beyond doubt, that death occurred from problems originating prior to the sale a replacement baby will be offered from the next available clutch of the original species. The cost of the necropsy will be provided to the buyer. The breeder will not be responsible for any other expenses and takes no responsibility for problems occurring in other Puppies, as per clause 3(a), the Puppies must be quarantined and it is the buyer’s responsibility to do so.
Guarantee is void if all the following requirements are not followed:
The Puppies must be quarantined away from all other Puppies and an examination by an Avian Certified Veterinarian must be done within 24 hours after possession.
If you currently have other Puppies or have had Puppies in the same environment within the past year, you must provide documentation of their health and past medical history. The reasoning for this is that many viruses can stay in the environment for many months after an infected Puppies is removed.
